Statues along the Riverfront
Some pages focus largely on the artwork that illustrates an episode. You get a sense of what it will be about.
One fine day, Sophie was walking along the riverfront and she started to think back to all the statues and sculptures she saw the last time she visited the museum.
When she was there she looked at all the paintings in the gallery and on her way into the main hall, she saw a big sculpture carved out of jade.
As she left the museum, a storm was just starting to clear. Even though there were spotty showers all around, she snuck a shortcut through the sculpture garden, just outside. There between the passing storms and setting sun she was struck by how beautiful the whole world looked in statues.
Walking between the different sculptures, she imagined a city that didn’t have the sculptures all neatly tucked away together in small one garden but instead proudly them showed them off all along the riverfront For everyone to see. Each day.
Not little statues either but towering ones. 100 feet tall. The best of public art, pencils and famous statues what not. But soaring high into the sky, nestled amongst the skyscrapers. An organic and living, vibrant part of the city. Something distinctive and instantly recognizable.
